I've been stuttering for about 15 years. I'm not sure where it started, but there was a lady working in kindergarten who loved yelling at the kids about everything, including me, but not for being rude, and for having a hard time eating breakfast in the morning. Each day was hell for me. In general, I went to a speech therapist when I was a child for about 2 years, but it did not help. Now I have the impression that it is getting worse. Sometimes when I'm relaxed I use a fast (but not too much) pace and it goes normally, and sometimes I try to speak slowly and no word normally wants to go down my throat anyway. Sometimes I repeat a word, sometimes just one letter, eg "t". Once, when I was in a larger group, I was able to read something aloud in a calm voice - now I can't. It was the same with a foreign language - I never stuttered speaking English, now I do. Recently, I tried to read aloud slowly, but I don't know if it does any good. I would like to practice alone, but I don't know exactly what to do. I know I could start all over again. Talk slowly and speed up gradually, but there are times when I can't do it. Could I have any advice, sample exercises?

If the situation worsens andstuttering symptomsworsen, I suggest consulting a speech therapist and psychologist. The exercises you do on your own (reading aloud) are good, but not sufficient. Since the problems have been going on for a long time, it is necessary to regulate your breathing. And for this you must get training from a specialist.

I don't recommend doing this type of exercise alone. Of course, you also need to talk as calmly as possible and not to rush the pace.
