Sexual dysfunction due to neurotic affects many women, although rarely one admits to them. The most common female sexual dysfunctions are anorgasmia, dyspareunia, vaginismus, hypolibidemia, and hyperlibidemia. What are the causes of a lack of orgasm, painful intercourse, or aversion to sex, and how is it treated?

No orgasm, painful intercourse, aversion to sex or excessive sexual appetite.Sexual dysfunctionis still a taboo subject, although research by sexologists shows that as many as 30 percent of women experience discomfort during intercourse.

Female sexual dysfunction: causes

  • inhibitions resulting from being brought up in a family environment,
  • conflicts in contact with a partner,
  • state of fatigue, not sleeping, exhaustion, overloading with various duties,
  • fear of pregnancy,
  • mistakes made in the technique of sexual intercourse,
  • common sense bonding with your partner,
  • sexual inability to match,
  • not accepting an orgasm as a result of caressing the clitoris and waiting for an orgasm as a result of intercourse,
  • no conditions ensuring the intimacy of sex,
  • negative attitude and prejudice towards men.

Female sexual dysfunction: treatment

Sexual dysfunction, contrary to what many women afflicted with it thinks, will not pass on their own. Sexual disorders in women require therapy, and preferably with the participation of a partner, because they are based on the relationship with the partner and the assessment of the relationship. The chances of successful therapy increase when a woman is honest with the therapist and has the full support of her partner.

Sexual disorders in women: anorgasmia or no orgasm

Anorgasmia, or lack of orgasm, is a problem that may be accompanied by minor hormonal disorders. Anorgasmia can be primary - the female has never peaked since sexual initiation, or secondary. Lack of orgasm can be associated with sexual indifference, not feeling aroused or having sexual needs at all. Anorgasmia may be associated with aversion and even disgust towards the partner, although sometimes this disorder does not exclude the pleasure of sex despite the lack of orgasm. Anorgasmia canalso appear after childbirth, when a woman does not see the world except her baby.

Sexual disorders in women: painful intercourse or dyspareunia

Dyspareunia, or painful intercourse, makes a woman avoid sex because it hurts her. Why? The cause may be inflammation of the vagina and vulva, and mycoses, although it often turns out to be caused by conflicts with a partner and has a neurotic background.

Female sexual dysfunction: vaginismus or muscle spasm

Vaginismus is common in women who are concerned about defloration. It also affects women with anxiety neurosis and a lack of a sense of security or a lack of acceptance of their partner. Sometimes hysterical women fall victim to her. Subsequent unsuccessful attempts at intercourse may only aggravate vaginismus, hence the need for professional intervention.

Female sexual dysfunction: hypolibidemia

Hypolibidemia is a decrease in sexual needs, sexual indifference (while maintaining the ability to experience orgasm). It can be caused by various factors, but usually the underlying cause of hypolibidemia is the monotony and routine of intercourse as well as indifference to the partner and boredom.

Female sexual dysfunction: hyperlibidemia

Hyperlibidemia is an excessive need for sexual activity. It can be caused by hormones, but it also develops on a neurotic basis: sex begins to be a tool to relieve tension, it becomes an escape from everyday life.
