Hello. I would like to know what are the chances and possibilities of laser vision correction with the defect -5.25 for both eyes. If that matters, then I'm 25. Is the treatment reimbursed by the He alth Fund or on its own? Regards WA
Theoretically, it is possible to correct the defect with a laser. In practice (during the qualifying examination before the procedure) - we take into account not only the size of the defect, but also a number of other eye parameters: e.g. corneal thickness, intraocular pressure, and the patient's general he alth condition. Laser correction treatments are not reimbursed by the National He alth Fund, and nowhere in the world their cost is covered by basic he alth insurance.
