My son, seventeen, hardly sees in one eye. As a child, he used to attend eye exercises with us, he had them taped up, but unfortunately it did not help. He wears glasses, but the defect does not recede, but remains the same. I have a question if there is any treatment possible that would restore the efficiency of seeing to this eye.

Amblyopia is an effect of an underdeveloped optic nerve. While children can be helped by sealing the better eye and forcing the weaker to learn to call, such action does not make sense in adults and adolescents. Unfortunately - we do not know the possibility of regeneration of the optic nerve; it is not possible to "fix" your son's amblyopia.
