Recently, it has emerged from the results that I have gestational cholestasis. My results were: ALT - 51 U / L, AST - 39 U / L, total bilirubin - 0.28 mg / dL, alkaline phosphatase - 275U / L, GGTP - 16 U / L. The gynecologist referred me to the hospital, they gave me Ursocam magnesium for 4 days and the tests were repeated: ALT - 47 U / l, AST - 34 U / l, total bilirubin - 0.29 mg / dl, alkaline phosphatase - 288U / l, and GGTP - 21 U / l. I am concerned that some results have dropped and others have increased after taking the medications. I'm afraid for a baby, and it's only the 34th week of pregnancy. After these tests, they sent me home and I have to control it myself, taking Ursocam on. Why does phosphatase increase and what parameters can bother me so much to go to IP? The itching gets worse, which bothers me even more.

Liver enzyme activity may fluctuate. In your case, they are increased, and fluctuations by a few units are not significant. In the case of cholestasis, it is recommended to test the concentration of bile acids in the blood, because the procedure and timing of labor induction depend on the results of these tests.
