Good morning! I have a fibroma on the nipple of my left breast. Should I remove it? I don't have children yet and I read somewhere that a frequently irritated person can turn into a malignant tumor. So what about breastfeeding? I would like to add that sometimes ( although rarely) a clear liquid leaks from it, and recently this breast has been sore for me. I am asking for advice and a hint to which specialist should I go first if I want to have it removed - a dermatologist, gynecologist, surgeon? And should I stop taking birth control pills? Thank you in advance for the answer Katarzyna

Dear Madam, I advise you to perform a breast ultrasound first, for example in our clinic at Dr. Lisowska, depending on the results of the examination, go to an oncologist or surgeon to remove the lesion or implement treatment. The oncologist will best evaluate if an excision is necessary.

Remember that our expert's answer is informative and will not replace a visit to the doctor.
