My son has been acting weird for some time. He's arrogant, aggressive, he misses out on school, hangs out all day on the computer or goes out somewhere, hardly ever letting me know. My son suffers from epilepsy and takes Depakine Chrono medications, but one doctor says it is not because of this, and another one because of it. I also talked to the school counselor about his behavior and she told me to watch him. I suspect he may be taking some drugs or legal highs. How can I check my son's behavior to see if it is actually a drug or a different problem?

Such behavior is typical in adolescence, you have a young man at home during a rebellion. They can also be problems with the thyroid gland or other hormones. Please check what is happening at school. Maybe the son has problems with learning, he is not doing well at school? Or he is experiencing his first love - which is very common at this age. That is why he spends so much time in the computer and with his colleagues. It is best to talk to him calmly, if not you, then maybe a husband or let a friend of him do it, e.g. a tutor or a geography teacher. This behavior can go hand in hand with many things, but it is not always a sign of drug use. However, if you have such concerns, you can buy drug detection tests at any pharmacy, e.g. from urine or saliva.
