For some time I have been missing my father, who hasn't lived with us (with me and my mother) for 3 years and hasn't been visiting me for a good two years, he's an alcoholic. Often, while sitting next to a strange man (much older), I want to hug him and that is probably not normal, but on the other hand I am very distrustful and shy towards men and boys. Will I get over it?

It's good that you realize that not having a father can cause you to have unfounded trust in someone who reminds you of him. This sensation is not abnormal, but it can be deceiving. An older man may seem nice, caring, responsible, not a drinker - but what he really is, it will be difficult for you to judge. Stick to your peers, you know much more about them. Regards!
