My blood pressure is often around 130/60. Isn't the difference between systolic and diastolic blood pressure too big? Should I be concerned? I have no arrhythmia, I feel fine.

The difference between the systolic and diastolic pressure depends on many factors. Systolic blood pressure gradually increases with age, but values above 140 mmHg in adults are considered abnormal. The pressure of 130 mmHg is considered high normal. As for the diastolic pressure, the value of 60 mmHg is correct, and the range between the systolic and diastolic pressure for an adult can be regarded as normal. Sometimes, during the measurement, a false reduction of systolic pressure occurs - it occurs when the handset is too tightly pressed over the artery. It is also worth knowing that the diastolic pressure displayed on the screens of electronic sphygmomanometers is in fact not the result of a measurement, but is calculated using a special formula. Thus, a more precise commenting of the diastolic pressure value can only take place in the case of a correctly measured pressure with a mercury apparatus. It is recommended that you check your blood pressure periodically.
