I've been wearing glasses for 3 years, but I'm fed up with them. Recently, I have been thinking about buying lenses. I am treating hypothyroidism. Could it be a contraindication to wearing them?
Contact lenses can be poorly tolerated by people with impaired secretion of the tear film (and this may be the case with thyroid diseases in periods when the disease is not in remission). Contact lens intolerance manifests itself, inter alia, in burning, redness of the eyes.
