I am a nurse. I would like to start my own business, but I am afraid that I may not have any orders. Can a business be suspended? If so, for how long? Do you have to pay social security contributions after the suspension of your activity?
Any entrepreneur can suspend a business. The maximum period of suspension is 2 years. After this period, economic activity should be resumed for at least one day so that the entrepreneur can again exercise the right to suspend it again. An entrepreneur may repeatedly suspend business activity. He may also suspend it earlier if he deems it appropriate. Both the suspension and the resumption of business activity always take place at the entrepreneur's request. Depending on whether the entrepreneur is entered in the register of economic activity or in the register of entrepreneurs kept under the National Court Register, the application is submitted to the authority competent to run one or the other device. The entrepreneur does not have to justify his decision to suspend business activities in any way or obtain the prior consent of any authority to notify the suspension. The procedure for the entry of information on the suspension or resumption of suspended activities is carried out on the basis of the provisions applicable to entry, change of entry or deletion from the register or register. In material terms, the entry of an alert on the suspension or resumption of suspended business activity is certified by the competent authority by issuing a certificate of entry.
