My blood pressure is very low (about 90/60), and in a few months I'm going on vacation by plane. Is there anything I need to remember to make the journey safe for me under such pressure?

Hello, Physiological low pressure in a certain group of he althy people is not a contraindication to air travel. Short 2 - 4 hour flights within Europe do not require much preparation. With intercontinental flights lasting 7 - 12 hours, it is important to keep the body properly hydrated, because dehydration helps to lower the pressure. Too low pressure can also be caused by the air conditioning of the passenger compartment, which has a drying effect on the mucous membranes and the skin. You should drink mineral water and fruit juices. It is not advisable to drink coffee. I also strongly advise against drinking alcohol while traveling. You can also eat something s alty to increase the pressure. In my opinion, people in air travel are most affected by stress, so even before starting a journey, you should prepare yourself to endure it calmly and submit to all procedures that are currently in force in aviation. Please remember about the new regulations regarding the prohibition of transporting most cosmetics in hand luggage, so as not to be too stressed by the necessity of depositing unauthorized creams (often needed and expensive) in the airport rubbish bin.
