A gynecologist referred for a prenatal examination in the 27th week of pregnancy, indicating "abnormal ultrasound and / or biochemical test results indicating an increased risk of chromosomal aberration or fetal defect" were found in the pregnancy chat. I called 3 points that perform such tests. In one of them they state that in the 27th week of pregnancy the doctor will not perform the aforementioned prenatal test, in the second one as well, in the third one it was stated that the test is payable. Is prenatal screening free or paid at 27 weeks of pregnancy? Am I en titled to a free examination? Why do some points refuse such a study? Only now the doctor discovered the presence of a "strange bubble", it was not there before.

Whether a given test is paid or not depends on whether a given unit has a contract with the National He alth Fund for performing such a test. Not all centers are able to carry out specific tests. In the 27th week, diagnostic tests are already performed for certain diseases. It is still difficult for me to answer your question because I do not know the reason for referring you to such a test. I advise you to clarify your doubts with the attending physician.
