I have had a swollen foot of my left leg for a month. At first I thought it was because of the pressure on the shoes, but still not. I have been to the family doctor. He did not give me a referral for an ultrasound, but prescribed medications that would pump blood to and from the foot and a shield (Apo-Napro, Diosminex and Polfilin). However, there is no significant right. Do I have the right to request a referral and possibly a change in treatment, because these drugs may be harmful, for example to the stomach? I have bruised veins around my foot and no proper pulse rate in my foot. This was shown by a tactile examination at a doctor.

In such a situation, it would be advisable to visit an angiologist or vascular surgeon. Diagnostics uses a Doppler ultrasound of the venous and arterial systems to determine whether the disorders are of arterial or venous origin, or have a different origin.
