I'm 69 years old. After the implantation of a pacemaker (2 years ago), on the left side of the neck, a visible varicose vein began to form above the collarbone, which is systematically increasing. Currently, it is about 10 cm long and is getting thicker. This worries me. The family doctor sees no problem. I also often have a sore neck (not throat). I am asking for advice on what tests to carry out and who to contact with this problem?
A Doppler ultrasound of the veins in the neck should be performed and the result should be consulted with a vascular surgeon. Examination and consultations can be performed under the National He alth Fund in vascular clinics at departments of this profile or private centers. If necessary, I invite you to the Medicover hospital.
