Hello! I am in my second multiple pregnancy (10 weeks ago) and I have a question - can a history of type A jaundice (7 years ago) affect the appearance of cholestasis? In my first pregnancy I did not have it, although my liver hurt, just like now in this pregnancy, but I heard that a twin pregnancy increases the risk of this disease. I am very nervous because I know that it is dangerous for the fetus. I am asking for advice because my gynecologist said that I have to follow a diet. Is it enough?
Intrahepatic cholestasis in pregnant women is a genetically determined disease. It appears during pregnancy in people predisposed to its occurrence.Since cholestasis did not appear in the first pregnancy, it certainly will not appear in the second, , regardless of the number of children. However, please pay attention to your diet due to the history of jaundice.
