Is it possible to undergo surgical treatment of teeth at the National He alth Fund? Is the dental implant reimbursed by the National He alth Fund?
YES. The patient has the right to undergo surgical treatment of the teeth. In most cases, such treatment will be reimbursed by the National He alth Fund. Surgical treatment of teeth reimbursed by the National He alth Fund includes:
-Operative removal of an impacted tooth;
- Surgical treatment of a small wound with up to 3 sockets including the suture;
- Surgical treatment of a large or heavily contaminated wound;
-Stopping massive bleeding in the oral cavity by ligating, puncturing the vessels - as a separate procedure;
- Excision of a small nodule, tumor-like lesion, fibroma or taking a specimen / biopsy of the bone along with obtaining the results of a histopathological examination;
- Extraction of odontogenic cyst;
-Removing the stone from the salivary gland duct;
-Plasty of the oro-sinus connection as a consequence of tooth extraction performed under the guaranteed services. Incision of superficial, submucosal or subcutaneous abscess, including drainage and dressing;
-Reposition and immobilization of a dislocated tooth or group of teeth;
-Reposition and immobilization of the fractured fragment of the alveolar process with a tooth or teeth;
-Temporary treatment for a broken jaw;
-Fitting a wire dental rail;
-Removing the dental splint when replacing or completing the treatment;
-Reposition and immobilization of a dislocated mandible;
-Filling missing teeth with a partial denture only with straight bent clasps in the range of 5 - 8 missing teeth in one dental arch;
-Filling missing teeth with a partial denture only with straight bent clasps in the range of more than 8 missing teeth in one dental arch
The dental implant as such is not reimbursed. It is worth knowing that the implant is a screw made of titanium - a metal accepted by the tissues of the human body. The implant, after insertion into the bone, replaces the root of the lost tooth.
