Is the dental prosthesis reimbursed by the National He alth Fund?
YES. In accordance with the regulation of the Minister of He alth on guaranteed benefits in the field of dental treatment, supplementing missing teeth with a partial denture only with straight bent clasps in the range of 5-8 missing teeth in one dental arch is a service financed by the National He alth Fund. The provisions of the ordinance do not provide for the possibility of making a second prosthesis, if the 5-year period has not expired. It is also worth mentioning that the following procedures are included in the NFZ reimbursement for medical prosthetics services:
- filling missing teeth with a partial denture only with straight bent clasps in the range of more than 8 missing teeth in one dental arch (once every 5 years);
- supplying the toothless jaw with complete dentures in the jaw, including taking a functional impression on an individual tray (once every 5 years);
- supplying the toothless jaw with complete dentures in the mandible, including taking a functional impression on an individual tray (once every 5 years);
- restoration of the chewing function by repairing removable dentures to a greater extent with an impression;
- complete indirect relining of one prosthesis, including the shaping of the periphery for the maxilla and the mandible.
Denture replacement does not automatically mean the quality of workmanship and high durability.
