I have been struggling with the problem of too much blushing since my adolescence. At first I was sure it was due to shame, but over time I have noticed that redness also occurs in situations that have nothing to do with embarrassment. This problem often disappears for a while (even several months), then returns and becomes more and more uncontrolled over time. It often shows up when I'm exhausted. My mother and one of my sisters also struggled with this problem. Is it possible to somehow solve this problem or at least reduce the severity?

The symptoms described by you are angioedema. It results from the superficial location of blood vessels in the skin and their over-reactivity - they tend to expand excessively under the influence of internal and external factors. With time, the dilatation of the vessels may become permanent and then we observe telangiectasia. Skin with vasomotor erythema requires special care and avoidance of the following factors: temperature changes, ultraviolet (sun and solarium), high temperatures (sauna), irritating cosmetics, mechanical peels, alcohol, etc. It is necessary to use cosmetics intended for vascular skin care, containing: in. vitamin C, K, silicon, sea algae, Japanese ginkgo, yarrow, mountain arnica, horse chestnut, calendula, etc. In the most advanced cases of vasomotor erythema, professional cosmetic or medical procedures are recommended, such as IPL treatment.
