I would like to know more about the gluten-free diet, namely my blood group is 0 and I read that people with this blood group do not digest gluten very well - it supposedly causes weight gain. At the same time, my boyfriend is on this diet due to an allergy, and I would like to know more about the possibilities of varied meals that I could prepare for the two of us. However, I would not like them to be high-calorie meals, because I want to lose a few kilos with this diet at the same time. Of course, any flour products from his diet have been eliminated, and if they are, they contain gluten-free flour. However, I still consume gluten in various forms and would like to completely eliminate it from my diet. I would like to know how true is the thesis that it is gluten that causes weight gain - especially as I am a he althy eater, I eat light meals (however I have a problem with metabolism) and I would like to switch to this diet seriously. I wonder how likely it is that it will have the desired effect. I would not like to experiment with my body too much, especially since after not taking gluten for a while, the body may also become allergic to it later. I would be very grateful for the information. Regards.

The gluten-free diet is intended for people intolerant to gluten. This is absolutely not a weight loss diet and never was.

No blood group is related to the digestibility of gluten.

The thesis that gluten causes weight gain is not true. The causes of being overweight or obese are very different. Mainly it is too high caloric intake and / or too little physical activity. Eating irregular meals and / or 1-2 meals also causes fat build-up.
