I use 50 ml of black turnip juice daily before meals. I received information that black turnip juice (I drink it for a different reason) is even able to restore the balance of the thyroid gland; regardless of whether we have hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism. This is due to an important component of the so-called black turnip. raffanin, which strengthens the body's defenses and has a direct impact on the level of fT3 and fT4 thyroid hormones - helps to keep it in balance. Additionally, black turnips are a rich source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin C, iron and sulfur. I also read that people with hypothyroidism should avoid turnips (I don't know if black has other properties) because it inhibits the absorption of iodine from food. What's it really like?
If the thyroid function is normal, then the black turnip will not disturb its function; while in the case of hypothyroidism, its impact depends on the cause of the disorder. It is different when hypothyroidism is caused by iodine deficiency and different when it is caused by the presence of autoantibodies. Certainly, black turnip cannot be treated as a medicine or as a cause of hypothyroidism, as its effect is very limited and weak.
