Am I obliged to use the hospital canteen during treatment? Can I eat on my own?

There is no obligation for the patient to use the hospital canteen, but the patient should follow the doctor's instructions and the diet recommended by him. In general, hospitals determine the patient's diet according to the disease, and the portion size depends on the disease. This diet does not result from the regulations, it is rather the result of the treatment process. Therefore, self-nutrition during a stay in hospital is always a moot point. It may be relevant in one case, and not in another. This issue is also at the disposal of the doctor. It is he who recommends whether the patient can use other types of meals and to what extent.
