Hello! I am a doctor and I would like to open a private in-patient surgery. Can I see patients at home? Regards.

YES. It is possible, but requires the doctor to meet the appropriate requirements. A doctor who performs therapeutic activities as an individual medical practice must have a room in which he alth services will be provided, equipped with medicinal products, medical devices, apparatus and medical equipment appropriate to the type and scope of he alth services provided, and have an opinion of the competent authority of the State Sanitary Inspection that the conditions are met. required in the provision of specific he alth services, as well as services provided to the extent specified in art. 30 of the Act of December 5, 1996 on the professions of doctor and dentist. Individual practice at home must be subject to the rigors of medical confidentiality. The examination room must be adapted to ensure intimacy for the patient during the examination. It is not allowed for outsiders to stay in the same room. Another novelty is the introduction of an obligation to have organizational regulations for individual medical practices, and each patient should be able to read the organizational regulations before using medical assistance.

Legal basis: Act on medical activity (Journal of Laws of 2012, item 217)
