800 190 590 - currently the hotline number of the Patient Ombudsman's Office (BRPP), from November 13, 2022, it will be a common number for both the Office and all branches of the National He alth Fund. The new call center will operate under the name of Patient Telephone Information.
In the Patient Telephone Information Center - 800 190 590 - you will receive, among others information:
- how to get he alth insurance or EHIC card,
- what are the rights of the insured person,
- how to report a violation of patient rights,
- what formalities should be completed to go to the sanatorium,
- and addresses of medical facilities in the vicinity of your place of residence.
Telephone Patient Information is a joint initiative of the BRPP and the NZF. The call center will be served by several dozen employees of both institutions. The numbers show how often we use the helpline to obtain information on access to medical services. In 2022 alone, the NHF helplines handled approximately 40,000 calls each month.
The idea of the NFZ and BRPP call centers goes beyond just informing. Ultimately, the Patient Telephone Information Center will not only help patients navigate the he alth care system, but over time, following the example of the British NHS, will allow them to obtain simple medical advice.
