I have had diabetes for 11 years and take insulin. Besides I have hypothyroidism, I take Euthyrox N25 (2 tablets in the morning). I did not always have regular periods, sometimes they were even 2-3 weeks late, but they were plentiful and usually lasted 5 days. For 2 months during my period, I have a scanty discharge of blood that lasts 1-2 days. Is it the fault of the hormones?
Scant menstrual bleeding may be caused by thyroid disease and decompensated thyroid function or a disturbance in ovarian function, so I recommend that you see your doctor.
