I am currently in the 31st week of pregnancy, the ultrasound shows that my son weighs 1125 g. The midwife stated that the child's weight is far too low and he will probably be born tiny. My results are also not very good, I have been struggling with anemia for 3 months, I take additional iron tablets twice a day, I try to eat iron-rich foods, I do not know what else I can do to improve the results. Is my son's weight really much too low? What can I do? I currently live in Sweden, midwives have such an approach that we will see what will happen in 3 weeks, if the baby will gain a little weight; no advice, tips on what to do in such a situation.
In the 31st week of pregnancy, the weight of the fetus is about 1600 g. I advise you to consult your doctor. In Poland, in such a case, the causes of hypotrophy are sought, diagnostic tests are performed and the ultrasound is repeated after 2 weeks. You yourself do not have a big influence on the intrauterine development of your pregnant child, apart from qualitatively proper nutrition (which is probably unqualified in your case) and if you suffer from a chronic disease, treat it carefully.
