It does not have to be warm at all, it does not have to be a vacation at all, and the weather does not have to be good! It's always nice to sail a little. We propose a North Sea sailing plan.
September is the best month forsailingand not only in the B altic Sea. For those who want to break away from the Masurian or Zegrze crowds or try something new, please visitNorth Sea !
North Sea sailing: France
We propose to choose our home port somewhere in France. Caleis, Dunkirk, Boulogne, Arques, Abbevill, it all depends on how far we want to go along the coast. Pickup of the charteredyacht , registration of the crew, klar and we are usually ready to leave the port! The best thing to do would be to arrange your travels in such a way as to be there in the afternoon at lunchtime. Then there are no contraindications to go to see the area. I must admit that Caleis and Dunkirk can be a kind of tourist attraction … The only difficulty with which we can meet at this point of the trip is the high innuendo of the French … there is no contact with them, unless in their native language.
North Sea sailing: England
When we overcome the tides, opposite winds, changing currents, terrible traffic (like on Marszałkowska Street!), Stormy weather lasting for several days, we will cross the English Channel and reach the coast of England … we will be so exhausted that the only what cheers us up is a pint of cold Guinness in a pub. The best and probably the most interesting nautical solution would be to sail to London itself through the canal. There is a marina right in the city center under the Tower Bridge. A great place. I don't think I need to advertise the city itself. Beautiful, charming and atmospheric. It depends of course on the cruise, but I would recommend staying there for at least two days and delaying the 20-hour canal return back to the sea. Near the Thames estuary is a lovely town: Ramsgate. I recommend at least a one-day stop. Beautifully situated under the cliff, the marina and the rows of houses and small houses on the rock are an unforgettable sight. Apart from little where they have such good fish fryers! It's time to leave the English coast and head towards the Netherlands …
North Sea sailing: The Netherlands
Counting from Ramsgate to Ijmuiden on the Dutch coast is about 150 milesmarine. You have to be especially careful when crossing sea routes due to heavy traffic. From Ijmuiden, we continue our journey through the canal, which takes us a few hours to reach the very center of Amsterdam! I can honestly say that I have not seen a more beautiful city yet. Not damaged at all during the war, it completely retained the charm of its narrow streets, charming alleys and beautiful tenement houses. Moreover, everywhere, instead of cars, there are bicycles and a red light district … The only downside of this place is that we have already completed more than half of the trip. Continue along the coast and we are in Den Helder and Den Oever. Now it all depends on where we agreed with the shipowner to pass the boat. For example, you can cross the Den Oever lock and enjoy a little calmer sailing on the enclosed Lake Waddenzee.
I guarantee that no one will be indifferent to such an expedition!
