I am in the 31st week of pregnancy, so far during the ultrasound examinations (recently on December 16th) the doctor positively assessed the development of the fetus. Today we were referred for an additional ultrasound examination (with a different apparatus) to check the right ventricle. The examining doctor suspects calcifications on the papillary muscle in my son. Where to go for help What to do next? what could have caused this situation? I suffer from Graves, could this disease have contributed to my son's heart problems?
Diagnosis of heart disease will be possible only after a child is born (after all, it is only a suspicion, and in addition, it may turn out to be completely irrelevant) and the only thing you can do is give birth in a hospital where you can count on good neonatal care. The impact of Graves disease on the development of pregnancy depends on many things that you did not write about, e.g. whether you are currently undergoing treatment, have you been treated before pregnancy, what have you been treated, what is your current thyroid hormone levels and are there antibodies and what. It is best to talk to your endocrinologist about this.
