Depends on what depression. There are situational and one-off depressions, there are also recurrent depressions of some hereditary origin. To be more sure that the depressive episode will end, it is recommended to take the drug that has helped for 6 months. If this is another recurrence of depression, you can take medication indefinitely - to try to protect yourself against a relapse, as part of a prophylaxis. It is impossible to predict when a relapse will occur. "Situational" depression may recur, and you may wonder if it is, in fact, some kind of recurrent depression. Regards!
