I have a question related to he alth insurance. When working in a business, can I insure my mother, who does not work anywhere?
If you run a business, you can register your mother for he alth insurance, provided that she lives with you.
Each person subject to compulsory he alth insurance is required to report to their family members for this insurance. In order to cover a family member with he alth insurance, it is sufficient to report by one person who is subject to obligatory insurance. Such notification is submitted to ZUS by the contribution payer. The contribution payer is obliged to report family members of the insured person to he alth insurance or to deregister them.
A family member - for he alth insurance purposes - is considered to be: own child, spouse's child, adopted child, grandchild or a foreign child for whom custody has been established; or a foreign child within a foster family or family orphanage, until they turn 18, and if they study it until they turn 26, and if they have a certificate of severe disability or other conditions treated equally - without age limit; spouse, ascendants remaining in the same household with the insured person.
It may also be worth mentioning that grandparents can register their grandchildren for insurance only if neither of the parents is subject to compulsory he alth insurance or is not en titled to he althcare services under the provisions on work or work coordination on own account or voluntary insurance. The application form (for reporting or deregistering a family member of the insured person for he alth insurance purposes) is ZUS ZCNA - reporting data on family members for he alth insurance purposes.
