In the topic of the teacher in the sanatorium mentioned here, the pre-vacation and holiday dates are given, where there is no problem for the family doctor to issue L4 before leaving. My problem is a little different: I start the sanatorium during the summer holidays and finish it a few days after the start of the school year. I do not want to be sick for the entire period of my stay in the sanatorium, but only for the few days at the beginning of the school year. Will the doctor in the sanatorium issue one for me? How to fix this problem?
If the teacher receives the date of departure to the spa sanatorium on a different date than the holiday period, he or she may take the unpaid leave or use the leave for he alth reasons - however, this will be treated as selecting the entire leave, it will not be possible to use it in the future the rest of it. This does not apply to a trip to a spa hospital, which takes place as part of a sick leave.
Theoretically, a doctor in a sanatorium has the right to issue a medical certificate to a person staying there.
In accordance with the Regulation of the Minister of Labor and Social Policy of 27 July 1999 on detailed rules and procedures for issuing medical certificates, the model of a medical certificate and a medical certificate issued as a result of inspection by a certified physician of the Social Insurance Institution: doctor / physician a dentist / senior felczer / medical assistant conducting the treatment issues a medical certificate for the period in which the insured should not work due to his he alth condition, but not longer than until the date on which it is necessary to conduct another medical examination of the insured person. Such a certificate is issued for the period from the date of the examination (or from the day immediately following the examination date). A medical certificate may be issued for the period commencing after the examination date, but not later than on the fourth day after the examination date, if: 1) there are days off immediately after the examination date, 2) the examination is carried out in the period of the previously declared incapacity for work.
