Is there any other method besides cystoscopy to check if the papilloma has returned? Is ultrasound combined with urine sediment cytology sufficient? If these two tests show no change, is another cystoscopy necessary?

Urine sediment cytology and ultrasound may be helpful in assessing the possibility of a bladder tumor recurrence, but unfortunately their sensitivity has some limitations. The effectiveness of the detection of lesions based on the cytology of the urine sediment depends on the histological "maturity of the tumor" and is of greater value in the more aggressive forms of the tumor. I don't know what diagnosis was made in the Lord. Cystoscopy is still the gold standard in the observation of patients after resection of a bladder tumor. It is sometimes painful, but performed by an experienced urologist with a flexible cystoscope, it is practically painless and gives you much more confidence that there is no recurrence.
