A diet of 800 kcal at a weight of 120 kg (BMI=33), I am 190 cm and 20 years old. I stayed in the hospital for a long time, I had heart problems, I lost 97 to 93 kg there, I came home, I had no strength for anything - just sleeping, eating and I gained 120 kg. Recently, I started to do something with myself: I go to training 5-6 times a week and follow a 800 kcal diet - I have lost 16 kg in a month. Do I lose mainly fat or muscle when I am overweight? I eat 2-3 meals a day: yogurt in the morning, some lunch, dinner, fruit - is this diet effective?
If you have already lost 16 kg, the diet is effective. I believe that 800 kcal is not enough in terms of nutritional value, which can result in nutritional deficiencies. However, if, despite such a low-calorie diet, you feel well, I suggest you buy some natural vitamins. Please don't look for them at the pharmacy. There are various companies on the Internet that offer preparations that supplement low-calorie diets. I also recommend that you do a bioimpedance test to check your muscle mass. Then repeat the test after approx. 3 weeks to check if you are not burning your own muscles. Most dietary offices and good gyms have such devices. Such a reduction very quickly causes the yo-yo effect and weakens the body.
