Hello, I have a gum problem over the top right four. The gum had apparently moved upwards, revealing, I think, the root. I am concerned that this tooth will start to move, which could lead to falling out. Is it possible? I live abroad, in a month I have an appointment in Poland, only then can I start treatment. Until then, is there anything I can do to prevent this condition from worsening? Is it reversible, can I use some ointment? Or maybe massage the gums? I am pregnant, could this have an effect on my gums? I am asking for advice. Agnieszka

It probably started with Mrs.periodontitis . You should see your dentist as soon as possible to check the condition of your gums and start treatment. For now, before starting treatment under a doctor's supervision, please do not use any ointments. You can only change the technique of brushing your teeth by "pulling" the gum over the tooth. It is a "sweeping" technique - you place the brush along the gum (with the bristles facing up in the case of the upper teeth) and with the sweeping motion, you "pull" it down. Brushing your teeth like this will not reverse the disease, but it will definitely stop its progression. Regards.
