Since I can remember I have been struggling with extra pounds, I feel that I am already obsessed with it. I am constantly trying to lose weight, unfortunately with poor results, because for some year I have had constant bouts of gluttony. I don't know what to do with it anymore. I feel this is some sort of psychological background, probably related to the lean body obsession that I still want to achieve. I can't cope with it at all, because these fits are already tiring, I have completely lost control over my food, I feel addicted. How can I help myself? I don't want to live like this anymore, from attack to attack.
Hello! I'm afraid your problem is quite serious. I don't want to scare you, but what you are writing about looks like a pretty long-standing eating disorder that is difficult to deal with on your own. You feel that your psyche plays the main role here and it certainly is. What I can quite easily advise you is a quick visit to a good psychologist who has experience in such cases and one who works with a nutritionist.
I think you shouldn't have a problem with that in Warsaw. If you have lost control of your food and you are aware of it, it is proof that it is time to act more seriously and concentrate. By yourself, relying only on your good intentions and previous knowledge, you may not get the results you want. You need good proven methods and the constant support of a responsible person. One that will show you what progress you are making and teach you how to avoid further mishaps.
Remember that our expert's answer is informative and will not replace a visit to the doctor.
