My eternal problem is losing weight, but during subsequent diets I also have periods of doubt and I do not know how to deal with it. Can a visit and a conversation with a psychologist help me?

If I understand you correctly, periods of doubt consist in the emergence of the belief that it is not worth losing weight and / or weakening the discipline you impose on yourself. I think that a visit to a psychologist may be useful, but no reasonable psychologist should support your determination to lose weight. Rather, it will help to see your problem more broadly, to determine what is in favor of you and what is against. As a result of conversations with your psychologist, the eternal problem may soften and become less bothersome. However, please remember that, unfortunately, some other, so far hidden problems may emerge on this occasion.

Remember that our expert's answer is informative and will not replace a visit to the doctor.
