Ways to get cradle cap

If there are few scales, just wash your toddler's head with a baby shampoo every day and brush it thoroughly with a soft-bristled brush. You can also lubricate the baby's head with olive oil before bathing and then brush the scales. If this does not help, brush your baby's head with olive or greasy cream for a few hours. Put on a cotton hat - thanks to this, the ingredients contained in the cosmetic will work better, soften the skin and the scales will be easier to comb out. You can also use water-soaked bran to wash your head, which is a good soothing and softening agent for sensitive skin. The condition for the success of the treatment is consistency and patience, because sometimes these treatments have to be repeated every day for up to 7-10 days. Unfortunately, cradle cap likes to come back and the whole procedure has to be repeated. However, cradle cap can also appear in a few-year-old child. The treatment must then be the same as for the infant. If, despite your efforts, the skin changes do not disappear after 7-10 days, visit a dermatologist with your baby, because they may be a symptom of other diseases, e.g. atopic dermatitis or psoriasis, for which oil application alone will not help.
