Due to the planned pregnancy, my doctor recommended the use of folic acid. In the attached leaflet, I read that taking it may be accompanied by a rash that I just had. I used the visit to my gynecologist during my stay in Poland, currently I cannot contact him. I have been taking the drug since August and more or less from this month I have a rash, it is even more disturbing to me, because even in adolescence I had no problems with my skin. The rash begins on the outer sides of the forehead, through the temples and up to the mandible. I would like to ask for your opinion, because I do not know if my language is developed enough to use professional help abroad. I'm 28 years old, not pregnant.
Please stop taking folic acid - if the allergic reaction was caused by its intake, the symptoms will disappear. If the allergic reaction persists, it is not caused by folic acid and requires further investigation.
