The mites breed from August to November. One female lays around 100 eggs. No wonder that even the most careful dry cleaning will not help. A water vacuum cleaner or a sealed, disposable bag, suitable for the vacuum cleaner used so far, can be effective in fighting mites.
Use a dust cover to protect yourself from dust mites
Dorothy's mother does not have to buy a special mattress. It is enough to put on it, and also on pillows and quilts, special microfiber covers, through which mites and their droppings cannot penetrate. Such bedding is permeable to air and sweat, it is light, durable and pleasant to the touch. You can buy it in all common sizes and wash it at up to 60 degrees Celsius.

Vacuuming is not enough to get rid of mites from upholstered furniture. You need to spray them carefully with a household dust neutralizer and do the same with bedding, mattresses, and after drying, apply fresh covers. Allergy sufferers should use pure cotton bedding that can be boiled.
Dust-resistant bedding
People allergic to wool or feathers should choose polyester-silicone quilts and pillows in the form of fluffy granules. Trimmed with soft, ecological polycotton, they are very durable.
Dust mites die in temperatures of +45 degrees C and -18 degrees C. Plush toys that cannot be washed, so put in the freezer for two days. This is a very good way to clean them of dust mites.

- expose bedding to frost in winter, and to sun in summer,

- avoid feathers, wash blankets every three months,
- remove dust collecting objects,
- which you cannot wash, wipe with a damp cloth or wash,
- ventilate the bedroom, take care of low humidity and moderate temperature (preferably up to 20 degrees C).
