Should cancer patients be taking any particular vitamins? I read that B vitamins are very helpful in cancer? Or maybe it is best to administer multivitamin supplements to the patient, so that they do not run out of any vitamins and minerals in their body. What's your opinion?

Good evening, the oncologist should definitely decide about supplementation. What is most important for the patient is to try to maintain a constant body weight and not allow malnutrition to develop during the entire treatment and also during the convalescence period. Occasionally, oncologists order supplementation with omega-3, vitamin D, vitamin B12, and more. However, this is dictated by a specific medical indication. I encourage you to prepare easily digestible meals rich in natural vitamins and minerals. The most important thing, however, is to provide the right amount of protein, carbohydrates and fat, which translates into the energy of the diet, and thus - prevents malnutrition. With the consent of the doctor, nutridrink preparations can be introduced, which help maintain the proper level of nutrition. Regards
