In 2022, adidas in cooperation with the Parley Foundation allocated $ 1 million collected during the Run For The Oceans campaign to educate young people. This year, it presents another challenge - for every kilometer run recorded by the Runtastic app between June 8 and 16, the brand will donate $ 1 to Parley Ocean School. The goal is $ 1.5 million this year.

In 2022, under the banner of Run For The Oceans, adidas initiated a global movement that unites runners from around the world to raise $ 1 million by running for the Parley for the Oceans Foundation.

The money so far raised through the Parley Ocean School program has helped direct the education of over 100,000 young people and their families, who live in the most polluted coastal areas and are the least aware of the dangers at the same time.

Goal: $ 1.5 million

This year, adidas is stepping up the pace! The campaign will unite even more runners in more locations than before, and this year's goal has been raised to $ 1.5 million. Each dollar will contribute to the development of the Parley Ocean School program and the launch of the Parley youth activist platform, which will allow students to acquire the skills, tools and knowledge necessary to protect the oceans. The platform will start on June 8 at www.parley.tv.

11 million pairs of recycled shoes

Thanks to the collaboration of adidas x Parley, huge amounts of plastic waste have been collected from the shores of the beaches. Since 2015, the brand has transformed Ocean Plastic® into sportswear. 5 million pairs of shoes have been sewn using threads made of recycled plastic, and in this year's collection, the brand will produce as many as 11 million.

The June Parley line introduces the Alphabounce + model, which is designed for maximum support and comfort. The shoe adapts perfectly to the foot thanks to the optimized lacing system.

The collection includes a full range of sportswear, some of which have been produced in Parley Pro-Dye technology, creating a pattern on the fabric that is unique in every detail. The stylish and ecological line includes, among others Men's Parley 4KRFT Shorts and Women's Parley Believe This Tight, both products are made of coat least 75% of the thread of recycled plastic waste. Adidas is ambitiously committed to eliminating polyester from all its products by 2024.
