The SGH 2022 run is the fifth edition of the charity initiative of the Students' Self-Government of the Warsaw School of Economics. As every year, we invite all sports enthusiasts to Mokotów, where they will be able to actively spend Sunday with us in a great atmosphere.
The most important goal of the action is to raise funds that will be allocated to help little Mateusz. The boy, who just turned one year old, suffers from spinal muscular atrophy. It is a disease for which there is a drug, but it is not available in Poland and is very expensive. That is why we put all our efforts into encouraging as many people as possible to participate in the Run and actively help.
Of course, the SGH Run is also supposed to promote a he althy lifestyle. Thanks to the help of media patrons, primarily Radio ESKA, we want to reach not only experienced runners and marathon runners who, on the occasion of our event, have the opportunity to test their skills and prepare for the next starts. We also want to reach all amateur athletes and local runners who may just start their adventure with mass running, but also enthusiasts who are looking forward to the running season.
Run not only for adults
The third tour was prepared for the first time. In addition to the standard, certified 5 and 10 kilometers, there will also be a kilometer-long run for children and teenagers. The youngest will be able to compete in several age categories adjusted to their abilities. We invite children and youth from 8 to 15 years of age to participate.
Compete with famous athletes
We estimate that approximately 1,600 people will take part in this year's edition of the Run. Including many famous athletes - you will be able to meet, among others Łukasz Oskierko, Julita Kotecka, Marcin Freja and Kamila Gąsiorek, as well as outstanding athletes from other disciplines than running - weightlifter Szymon Kołecki and a well-known kickboxing player Arek Wrzoska.
We also expect numerous fans - we offer space for families, friends of participants, as well as all willing viewers who can spend their free day outdoors, in an atmosphere of he althy competition, sport and fun.
