I'm 14 years old and still can't pronounce the letter "r" correctly (I speak French "r"). I went to a speech therapist, but it still didn't help. Could I find out what the language arrangement should be? My frenulum was cut, it didn't help.
During the pronunciation of the "r" sound, the tongue is next to the gingival shaft. There it should vibrate when we let air through it. Despite the ineffective previous therapy, I would suggest going to a speech therapist. Exercising on your own can cause a lot of trouble and instead of correct implementation, you can replace the defect with another. Therefore, it is important that the speech therapist constantly checks the position of the tongue during the exercises.
