How should I swim to strengthen my abs?

The most effective way to strengthen the muscles of the entire body, including the abdominal muscles, is freestyle (crawl) and backstroke. Both of these styles are excellent aerobic exercises that put the 9 largest muscle groups into work. The abdominal muscles play an important role as their tension keeps the swimmer afloat. But the choice of style is not critical. The most important thing is the ability to cover a certain distance (you can start by swimming without a break from 15-20 minutes in the first week of training, 20-25 minutes in the second, 25-30 minutes in the third and 30-35 minutes in the fourth) and gradually increasing the intensity. If you want to strengthen your abdominal muscles, it is a good idea to supplement your swimming with strengthening exercises at home or at the gym.
