No asexual rusks, appetite-boosting salads and calorie table analysis. A diet based on African plants - coconut and durum wheat couscous and spices - chili, cinnamon, coriander and cumin, is tasty, filling and, in addition, slimming. You can enjoy these exotic delicacies without restrictions.
Dietnative to Africa is the most pleasant way of losing weight so far invented. If you disgust nibbling carrots, you can't look at lettuce with tomatoes anymore, and the prospect of a little braised chicken awakens your worst instincts, it's time to break with the European style of food and move to Africa. There, even the most restrictive slimming diet seems to be a gift from Heaven. Because nowhere else in the world you will find such a we alth of flavors and aromas.
The basis of the diet - couscous
First of allkuskus . This inconspicuousporridge , as some people call it, is actually pasta broken into very, very fine granules. Made from ground durum wheat grains, it is a valuable source of quickly digestible carbohydrates. As nutritionists claim, the point is not to give up carbohydrates, but to choose those that, in combination with other ingredients, e.g. unsaturated acid fats, will accelerate metabolism and burn unnecessary fat tissue. The people of Africa practice this principle more or less consciously.
Pasta, or couscous, as some prefer, despite the large amount of calories (approx. 360 kcal in 100 grams) does not make you fat for another reason - it is steamed completely and then "boiled" in boiling water . It cannot be fried, baked or grilled, but only combined with various types of additives - vegetables, pieces of lean meat, fish, dates and raisins. And, of course, olive oil or oil from various types of grains (e.g. coconut). Such a multi-ingredient dish is called tagine. Moroccans and Tunisians prepare them in a special clay vessel with a conical lid, but any other heat-resistant vessel, preferably ceramic or clay, is enough. Such a dish will saturate you for the whole day, thanks to which the specter of a poor salad for dinner will no longer be a drama.
African salad withcouscous designed by British culinary guru Jamie Olivier:
- mix couscous with toasted, fat-free and seed-free chili peppers
- add grilled asparagus, spring onions and slices of squash
- sprinkle the salad with fresh herbs, drizzle with olive oil and lemon juice.
African spices essential in a slimming diet
While bitong, the traditional African ostrich ham that contains neither cholesterol nor fat - you can probably dream of, African spices and additives are almost at your fingertips. One of the beloved spices of the people of Africa is chili. Red peppers are, among others the basis of harissa, a popular paste that is added to almost everything (unfortunately, it is soooo hot, which does not suit everyone). Some say that harissa and chili are the secret of the smooth and supple skin of African women. This spice helps you get rid of excess fat quite quickly. Women of Africa from time to time even take baths in water with chili. We do not have to follow them in every way, but if you are planning a diet, be sure to be interested in chili. Other spices that enrich even the most asexual dietary dish include cinnamon, coriander and cumin. They will stimulate the senses, silence the growing appetite and make a modest dinner take on a whole new dimension. At least illusory. In Nigeria, chili is mixed with coconut flakes, dates, mangoes and seafood. Fresh chili peppers also act as medicine. Even a small piece of this spicy vegetable opens the respiratory system and strengthens immunity, which will be very useful in the coming months.
Your diet should include coconut and coconut milk
The coconut palm is probably the only plant under the sun that can be 100% used. The name itself means "a tree that meets all the needs of life." In the Polish, transitional climate, many of the functions of the coconut palm may seem unhelpful, but you can certainly not deny its valuable nutritional values, which will protect against a deficiency of vitamins and microelements during weight loss. Coconut flesh can be eaten both fresh and dried (popular coconut flakes). For years, coconut was treated only as an addition to cakes and desserts. But its application is much wider. You can add pieces of coconut to almost anything - dietary salads, homemade muesli, and even vegetable risotto or broccoli cream. Apart from the pulp, the milk is also worth usingcoconut. Don't be fooled by its colorless color. This "water" contains natural sugars, a ton of vitamin C, and minerals. Until the coconut is opened, it remains sterile. African women add it to hot milk or water and drink it for breakfast. The rich composition of coconut milk provides all the necessary ingredients, does not make you fat and soothes the appetite for sweets.
