According to the head of the Government Analyzes Center, Norbert Maliszewski, "the course of the fifth wave in Poland is very gentle, but the peak of hospitalization is still ahead of us."
On Twitter, Norbert Maliszewski referred to the current epidemic situation in Poland. The head of the Government Analysis Center pointed out that the number of infections was decreasing. According to the expert, in the case of the Omikron variant, the dynamics of the increase in hospitalized people is "much lower than that of the Delta".
Maliszewski also emphasized that the fifth wave of infections in Poland is very gentle, but the peak of hospitalization due to infections is still ahead of us, therefore he calls for caution in creating final conclusions. The head of the Government Analysis Center supported his statement with a graph that shows the number of infections and the number of occupied hospital beds and ventilators.
Not only is the peak of the 5th wave of infections behind us, but the low increase in hospitalized people is noticeable (today the first drop in the number of hospitalized people - 62, but this is not enough to talk about a breakthrough). The course of the 5th wave in Poland is mild (but the peak of hospitalization is still waiting). pic.twitter.com/c5vF0Qyrgl- Norbert Maliszewski (@nmaliszewski) February 9, 2022
