Hello, I would like to know if yoga can help with cellulite? I want to start taking classes, but first I want to know if yoga will help with this condition. Regards

Cellulite symptoms appear when fat cells overgrow, so the connective tissue becomes "too tight". There are small irregular bumps on the skin. Consequently, the connective tissue hypertrophy leads to the deterioration of the skin condition, causing microcirculation disorders. The proper circulation of tissue fluids and the functioning of the lymphatic system are disturbed. It cannot keep up with cleansing the body of metabolic products and toxic substances. Cellulitis is hormonal. It appears only after reaching sexual maturity, intensifies during periods of the "hormonal revolution" - pregnancy, menopause, and sometimes at different times of the menstrual cycle. The main culprit is the female hormone estrogen, which determines the typically female, i.e. uneven distribution of adipose tissue and regulates the water balance in the female body. However, cellulite can be successfully combated with a proper diet and exercise. Among the many types of yoga, the most effective in the fight against cellulite is yoga based on the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga training. Ashtanga yoga (Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga) - sometimes called power yoga, is a dynamic form of hatha yoga and is characterized by smooth transitions between yoga positions (asanas) and energizing breathing. Among the various types of yoga, it is the most effective and comprehensive physical training that can be helpful in fighting cellulite.
