The cabbage diet allows you to lose 4-5 kg ​​in a week. This is a good introduction to further weight loss. The diet consists of introducing large amounts of vegetables, especially cabbage, into the menu. They are a rich source of vitamins, nutrients and fiber. Here's a recipe for a slimming cabbage soup.

Cabbage dietregulates the intestines, cleans them, has a diuretic effect and thus causes weight loss by up to five kilograms in a few days.

However, since the diet is low in protein, calcium and fat-soluble vitamins, it should not be used for more than a week.

The main dish is cabbage soup, dominated by Italian cabbage (easier to digest than white). You can eat it without restrictions, whenever we are hungry.

You also need to drink plenty of still water while on the diet - at least eight glasses a day. However, alcohol, sweetened carbonated drinks, sweets and sugar, animal fats and red meat are forbidden.

Cereal products, skim milk and poultry are allowed in small amounts, but they only appear on the fifth day of treatment.

The diet is easy to use, even for those who are in a hurry. We can cook more soups, pour them into half-liter jars and take them with us, e.g. to work - they are also tasty when cold.

You don't feel hungry with this diet because fiber fills your stomach, making you feel full.

On the third day, you may experience temporary headaches and a deterioration of mood, but then you will feel a surge of energy.

If we want to maintain the effect of losing a few kilograms, after completing the diet, you should limit your daily caloric intake, preferably to 1800 kcal for women and 2000 kcal for men.

Recipe for vegetable soup - an essential component of the cabbage diet

Ingredients:

  • head of savoy cabbage (up to 1.5 kg)
  • 5 fresh tomatoes (or 1/2 liter tomato puree)
  • 2 peppers: green and red
  • 3 large onions
  • 2-3 celery sprigs
  • 3 liters of water
  • vegetable stock cube

Spices:

  • 2 bay leaves
  • a few grains of allspice and peppercorns
  • half a teaspoon of cumin
  • teaspoon of marjoram

Preparation:

  • Shred the cabbage, put it in a pot, add spices, bouillon cube, add water, cook, covered over medium heat for about 15 minutes
  • gently cut the tomatoes, pour boiling water, peel, dice them
  • remove the seeds from the paprika, dice, wash the celery, chop, peel the onion, cut into feathers
  • Add vegetables to boiling cabbage and let it simmer for another 15 minutes
  • Pour the hot soup into jars, screw the cap on, and when it cools down, store in the refrigerator.
