Piwniczna and Piwniczna Zdrój are two worlds separated by the Poprad current, and connected by a footbridge over the river. On the market square, around the former fire tank, next to which there is an old fire engine, under the care of St. Florian, a fire extinguishing specialist, tourists gather seasonally. They come here both in summer for hiking along the trails of Beskid Sądecki, and in winter - because over the hamlet of Kosarzyska, in Sucha Dolina, there is one ski resort, and in the nearby village of Wierchomla, another. Behind the river, away from the hustle and bustle, there is a small but well-kept spa park with the Piwniczanka intake, and a natural therapy facility is being expanded. It's a bit deserted here, because only a few patients reach the park.
