I have been fighting reflux for over twenty years, my condition has worsened for several months (helicobacter was detected, gastritis, numerous erosions), making it impossible for me to eat normally. Continuous burning in your esophagus, feeling bloated, even after small meals, belching, regurgitation of food or acid only, vomiting. I have always followed an easily digestible diet, nothing fried, fatty, raw fruit and vegetables, coffee, tea, spices, alcohol. I try to eat often - 5 or 6 meals a day, every 2 hours, but despite such a separation and a maximum portion of 300-350 grams, I feel very "bloated", I have the impression that digestion is slow and food remains in my stomach for many hours. I eat my last meal at least 2 hours before bedtime, sleep with my head held high, yet the acid attacks are enormous. In addition, there is a constant sense of sour taste in the mouth, which intensifies after eating. I am under the constant supervision of a gastroenterologist, I take medications (polprazole, debridant, ulgastran) but they do not help, and he said very generally about food - "easily digestible diet". An additional problem is very large emaciation - 39 kilograms and 170 cm tall. At the moment, the only things that linger in my stomach are white cheese - especially homogenized cheese, milk (sometimes mixed with yolk), rice overcooked into a paste, wheat rolls, baby porridges - all in the maximum mushy form. Attempts to introduce vegetables and meat result in vomiting. I should gain weight quickly, because the body is very exhausted, and despite my best efforts, it fails. I would like to ask, what could I eat so that it contains a large dose of calories in a very small amount, allows me to gain the necessary extra kilos and does not hurt yet? For financial reasons, nutritional drinks are unfortunately out of the question.

Your problem is very serious and requires personal consultation with a dietitian. You are severely malnourished, and the diet you are currently following shows severe deficiencies. Maybe try to introduce mixed soups with lean meat into your diet, such as boiled carrots, parsley, potatoes and the addition of butter. You should always add milk or cheese to the rice, and the same to the rolls - you can also butter them. So that every meal is as valuable as possible. I ask also fortry to increase the number of meals - eat even every 2 hours (8 times a day). Also, please do not wear too tight clothes and never lie down after eating. You should also talk to your doctor if you need to change the treatment method, e.g. medication.
